Best ways to beat the rainy day blues

It looks as though Autumn has arrived with rainy days and grey skies all around us and it's easy to get down in the dumps so here are our top tips to keep your spirits up! 

1.) Dress happy...craft happy. 

Ditch the black and grey and brighten up your day by dressing in a colour which will turn heads and bring a bit of cheer. We love this idea of cutting up brightly coloured umbrella material and making it into a skirt.  Waterproof never looked so chic. 




2.) Yoga

It boosts your happy levels, lowers stress and gently stretches your body without putting stress on your joints (unless you really go for it). We advise seeking an experienced yoga practitioner or class if you've never tried before. It's also said to help with toning, weight loss and insomnia. If you're a beginner, try youtube.com for yoga beginner work outs to get you started.



3.) Bake

Baking can be incredibly therapeutic (plus you get the fantastic sugar boost when you "sample" the results). Why not bake a simple batch of cupcakes and use some pretty colours for the icing? Share them out at work and bring a smile to everyone's face!

4.) Get a laugh

A good laugh gets rid of tension and leaves your muscles relaxed for up to 45 minutes after. Laughing can also help relieve pain. 

5. Give yourself a make-over

Everyone loves being pampered and sometimes a change is just what's called for to pull you out of that funk you've been in. Whether it's a haircut or a new shade of lipstick - you'll feel gorgeous!

Holly and Glenn's Gorgeous Wedding Day!

Presenting to you the lovely Mr and Mrs Richardson! 

We at Topperland just LOVE hearing about our customers’ weddings but do you know what we love even more? Seeing pictures of their wedding of course! Lucky for us Glenn and Holly were more than happy to send us photos of their beautiful day

So without further ado here is Glenn and Holly’s gorgeous wedding!  The bride was radiant and the groom was dapper and surrounded by their friends and family Glenn and Holly declared their love for each other.

Gorgeous Hairstyles For Short Hair…

Topperland has noticed something in her extensive perusal of the internet. All women who are getting married seem to grow their hair just so that they can have it up, well Topperland is on hand to help you short haired lovelies with some gorgeous ways to wear your hair on your special day!

Gorgeous Rings That’ll Make You Drool…

Topperland REALLY loves sparklies we mean REALLY REALLY love sparklies (to the point where we’ve walked into lampposts/roads/glass doors in an effort to gape at the utter gorgeousness in the jewellery shop window) so we thought what better to show you than our favourite engagement rings so you can “just happen to leave the internet page open” as a very subtle hint to your man (not that we would ever do that ourselves or anything *nervous laugh*).

Anyhoo before you get too bored of Topperland rambling and before we fall into a complete engagement ring/sparkly things fever here are our favourites from one of Topperlands favourite wedding shops Etsy which has all sorts of beautiful wedding stuff!  

 1. This gorgeous white gold and diamond ring is so unbearably beautiful we just know that any woman worth her salt would immediately fall in love with this ring – look at the gorgeous setting and the flowers framing the design is just inspired

 2. Emeralds are a girls best friend

 according to this gorgeous vintage style ring anyway, although you get plenty of sparkle for your money as not only do you get this gorgeous emerald but it’s also surrounded by gorgeous diamonds!

3.         Ooooooh Shiiinneeeeeyyy  we love this admittedly quite blingy ring but having looked at the ring a bit closer we can see that it’s not really big when on your finger so it’s not too much.

4.       For something a bit different check out this gorgeous snake design ring which is just sparklies galore!

5.         And finally this gorgeous band covered in diamonds made us squeal with delight as frankly it's not only unique and unlike everything else out there but it still has a traditional feel to it that is so often lost with engagement rings...

Beautiful Bridal Fashions

As you know, today is World Fashion Day and we at Topperland have been showing you our favourite bridal fashions from around the world…

Here is a rundown of our favourite wedding dresses from around the world and let us tell you it puts the frilly white wedding dress to shame!

 1.       The Traditional Chinese Wedding Dress:

We adore the bright and vibrant colours of the traditional Chinese wedding dress and the sweet notion of wearing red for good luck really appeals to us.

2.       The Traditional Mongolian Wedding Dress:

This beautiful ornate bright coloured dress known as a Del – normally the bride wears a lighter version than the groom and all of the beautiful colours make for such a cheerful atmosphere!

3.       The Javanese Traditional Wedding Dress:

Lots of colour and detailing is used in Javanese culture and the tradition is to draw on the bride’s forehead as well.

4.       The Sri Lankan Traditional Wedding Dress

This is known as the “Kanydan Saree” and is so beautifully decorated it almost makes you weep!

5.       The Korean “Hanbok” Wedding Dress:

These are absolutely gorgeous dresses which are made in beautiful bright colours which are said to keep the spirit light on the special day.

Here at Topperland we’ve decided that we want to see more weird and wacky wedding stuff (after
yesterday’s theme weddings post we fell in love with odd weddings) so we thought we would dedicate today’s post to our favourite topic…. Cake.
