Christmas Holiday Activities

If you’re anything like Topperland and you have loads of little monsters high on sugar running through your house at Christmas you’ll know that you’ll need a LOT of planning to keep them occupied whilst you’re doing a million and one things on Christmas Day.

Luckily for you Topperland has donned her Christmas fairy outfit just for this occasion to grant you the wish of peace and harmony during Christmas. Here are a few of our favourite ideas to keep them from getting bored this Christmas (after they’ve broken or gotten bored of their Christmas toys – so approx. 5 mins).

1.       Dinner-time games

Christmas dinner is a huge part of the day and you just don’t realise how long you spend at the table digesting your dinner so why not make this time fun time? Clear the table and bring out a board game or pick one of these fab games!

2.       Dance

We’d suggest doing this BEFORE Christmas Dinner but it’s a great way for the kids to get rid of excess Christmas excitement - put on your favourite Christmas tunes and get grooving!

3.       Christmas Films

It’s a well-known and accepted fact that we all end up watching at least one film on Christmas day so why not make it a Christmas classic? Check out the brilliant family friendly Christmas films here.

4.       Christmas Crafting

Every mother knows that the hand scribbled Christmas card drenched in glitter (with even more on your kid) is the most heart-warming and special thing you can receive at Christmas. Why not set up a Christmas craft table and leave the kids to it? Guaranteed they’ll be happy for hours.

5.       Get them involved

Kids love getting messy… So be prepared. Why not get them involved in making the Christmas dinner? Nothing unsafe but helping with the dessert always goes down well. Check out these fab ideas!

6.       Dress Up!

Kids love getting all dressed up so why not let them have free reign of your wardrobe just for the one day?

These are some of Topperland’s tried and tested ways of keeping the kids quiet at Christmas but do you have any words of wisdom to pass on? Why not get in touch and let us know!

@Topperland

As always we look forward to hearing from you!

Love,
