Sparkly Cakes!

We're REALLY looking forward to watching Strictly Come Dancing this year and so we decided to celebrate the best way we know how, with cake!

Here's our run down of the best sparkly cakes we could find!

Pretty purple and pink with edible glitter

So cute - a great treat to give the kids (if you can bear to let anyone eat them)

Less sparkly and more silvery but we adore this!

Regular cupcakes iced and rolled in loose rock candy for a pretty dessert!

Awww look at those pretty sparkly stars!

So are you looking forward to Strictly Come Dancing this year and who's your favourite so far? We want to hear all about it.

Autumn Cakes

Autumn is in the air with the weather getting colder and the leaves just starting to change on the trees.

Topperland thought that what better way to celebrate this than to show off our favourite autumn inspired cakes.

The leaves look so realistic on this cake from Linzi's Cakes

We love the colours on this stunning topsy turvy wedding cake from Pink Cake Box

Truong tricked us as we couldn’t believe this was a cake at first!

Head over to Savoy Truffle and Cake if you’re in the mood for a drool fest – we love these autumn inspired cupcakes.

Admit it you want to take this in to a locked room with only a cake fork for company… What? Only me?...  Anyway this fabulous fall cake was designed by Winki's Cakes

Oh and if you’re in the mood to do some baking at home why not check out Martha Stewart for some amazing warming cakes. Topperland are thinking of trying our hand at this amazing pumpkin cake

So are you having an autumn wedding? What sort of cake are you going to be having? Why not contact us for a Topper, we’d be thrilled to design one in your image J

Celebrity Wedding Inspiration

One of the things that Topperland has noticed is that there is a totally untapped resource of wedding inspiration out there on the red carpet. So here is Topperland’s list of our favourite wedding style from the stars which we’ve pinched from the recent Emmy’s.

This gorgeous blue prom style dress looks gorgeous on quirky Zooey Deschanel– we love her striking make up.

Kelly Osbourne’s structured one shouldered gown shows off her gorgeous curves to perfection.

We’d be proud to walk down the aisle in this gorgeous jewel coloured gown sported by Tina Fey

Christina Hendricks A.K.A the Queen Of Curves shows us all how it’s done.

Jenny Mai keeps it classy

Mayim Bialik (The Big Bang Theory’s Amy) shows us how to keep it elegant whilst keeping covered up.

The award for the most gravity defying dress goes to... Kat Dennings!

So here are a few fabulous stars showing us their best gowns. Which were your favourites from the Emmy’s 2012 why not let us know?

@Topperland

As always we look forward to hearing from you soon!

Wedding Day Sparkles

Every woman needs a bit of sparkle on her special day other than the ring on her finger that it. However with the dress and everything it is very easy to go overboard and end up looking like a Christmas tree decoration.

Here at Topperland we want to help by showing you our favourite sparklies that will emphasise your dress without making you look like a kid playing dress up. (Also this way we get to research sparklies!)
The trick to all accessories is to pick one statement piece so we’ve broken these down into Earrings, Necklaces and Hair accesories.

Earrings

Traditional pearl drops

Sweet sparkles

Something a bit different

Add a splash of colour

Necklaces

Lovely traditional pearls

Statement Flowers

Keep a photo of your loved ones with you on your special day

Hair

A quirky alternative to a veil

A sweet simple tiara

Add a bit of colour to your outfit

Hopefully this has given you some ideas on what you’d like to do with your wedding jewellery so whether it’s traditional or alternative why not let us know!

5 Of The Worst Halloween Costumes On The Internet

Halloween is coming up at the end of next month and Topperlad has already started our countdown to the spooky season with looking up some awesome costumes we could copy/improve on... Then we stumbled on these.

These are examples of how NOT to do Halloween

5. The Censor Bar

Points for bravery and all but it's cold, it's October and this is a Holiday for children!

4. The "Sexy" Cookie Monster
There appear to have been a frightening increase in these sorts of outfits which seem determined to disturb us all... Even the model appears shocked and she's wearing the thing! It's a children's programme character and it's not supposed to be sexy!

3. The Nike Shoe
Do you really want to spend your Halloween advertising a brand?

2. The worst Iron Man Costume EVER

Proof that men cannot be trusted with sticky tape

1. Wonder Woman?

How is it watching me when it has no eyes?

Well here's our roundup of the worst costumes we found on the internet (the family friendly one's anyway) but if you've found worse why not let us know?

Wedding Underwear That Will Wow!

Topperland has learnt something AWFUL about most bridal underwear… It’s NOT sexy! We have been browsing collection after collection and we haven’t been able to find anything that tickles our fancy.

However Topperland has come up with a cunning plan and we’re nice enough to let you in on the secret – we’ve found everyday pieces that will still look fabulous on your wedding night as well as remain hidden under your dress!

The Basque

This is fantastic for keeping all of your bits and bobs in place and leaves you with a smooth silhouette without having to compromise on style. Try this fantastic Panache Bridal Basque which is specially designed to keep you from “popping out” the top no matter how blessed you are in the bust department!

The Strapless Bra

The strapless bra is usually essential for bridal underwear if you’re wearing a sleeveless or strapless dress but you still want it to be a bit sexy for the wedding night so this fantastic lace wonderbra is amazing as not only does it stay in place but it also lifts so that you’re left with amazing yet subtle cleavage!

Something Blue?

Sometimes women have a garter as blue or maybe shoes or jewellery but why not try out having a pale shade of blue for your underwear? Not only will it leave you feeling good but you won’t have to worry about it showing through your dress. Try this design from Elle Mcpherson intimates which is slightly padded to give you a bit of a boost!

Go Retro

Whether you’ve decided to change on your wedding night or want to wear the underwear under your wedding dress you can’t find anything more comfortable or confidence boosting than 1940’s/1950’s underwear. Check out this longline basque which will hide all the lumps and bumps, keep you supported and make you feel sexy!

Or if you want to change into your underwear later why not check THIS out... It may just knock his socks off!

(We may slightly have fallen in love with Kiss Me Deadly)

So what do you think about all of these types of underwear and what would you go for if given the option?
Why not get in touch and let us know!

How to Celebrate Halloween

Halloween is the best holiday as far as the kids are concerned but as an adult it can get a bit trying so here are a few ideas to liven up Halloween for all of us kids at heart!
1.       Scary Movie Sleepover

It may sound silly now but why not kick the other half out for the night and recapture some of your teenage years with a girls night in complete with scary movies, sweets and as an adult twist a few bottles of wine!

2.       Halloween Cocktail Party

Get together a bunch of your closest friends and have a go at making some fun Halloween cocktails add a bit of music and a box of Halloween props and you’ve got yourself a memorable night… Unless you have too many cocktails…

3.       Pumpkin Carving Competition

We all love carving pretty patterns into a pumpkin so why not get some friends around to give it a go!

4.       Bad Costume Party

We’ve all seen the terrible bad costumes at parties but why not get your friends round and get them to wear the worst costumes they can make/find and enjoy the giggles!

Here are a few ideas on how to enjoy a grown up Halloween but we want to hear your ideas! Why not get in touch and let us know how you’re going to celebrate!
